Abstrak

Kasus kriminalitas di Indonesia menunjukkan peningkatan. Perlu ada inovasi untuk mengatasi isu tersebut, perkembangan teknologi dan ketersediaan data spasial yang mudah diakses mendorong potensi bidang urban analytic sebagai penyelesaian masalah. Salah satu metode urban analytic tersebut adalah metode space syntax. Space syntax adalah metode analisis spasial yang digunakan untuk mempelajari hubungan antara konfigurasi ruang dan pola pergerakan manusia di dalamnya. Terdapat berbagai penelitian tentang hubungan yang signifikan antara konfigurasi jalan dan tingkat kriminalitas. Penulisan ini membahas dan mengidentifikasi karakteristik pada konfigurasi jalan yang berhubungan dengan tingkat kriminalitas dengan metode Space syntax. Dilanjutkan dengan bagaimana penerapan prinsip Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) pada karakteristik segmen jalan tersebut. Integrasi space syntax sebagai metode untuk prediksi tingkat kriminalitas dan CPTED sebagai metode untuk pencegahannya, memiliki potensi sebagai strategi mitigasi kriminalitas.
