Focus and Scope

Focus
The Journal of Infrastructure and Sustainable Development (JISD) focuses on advancing cross-disciplinary research in infrastructure and sustainability, encompassing fields such as civil engineering, environmental engineering, ocean engineering, urban and regional planning, architecture, geology, and geodesy. The journal prioritizes innovative studies that contribute to sustainable development, resilience, and the improvement of built and natural environments.

Scope

JISD publishes high-quality research related to infrastructure and sustainable development, including but not limited to:

  • Sustainable infrastructure planning, design, and management across civil, water resources, environmental, and ocean engineering.
  • Urban and regional development, including spatial planning, resilient cities, and sustainable built environments.
  • Environmental sustainability and resource management, such as water resources, waste management, and ecosystem-based approaches.
  • Geological and geodetic applications in infrastructure development, hazard assessment, and land monitoring.
  • Disaster resilience and risk reduction, including climate change adaptation, hazard mitigation, and post-disaster recovery.
  • Innovative technologies and methods, including computational modeling, geospatial analysis, and data-driven approaches.
  • Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches that integrate engineering, environmental, and socio-economic perspectives for sustainable development.

JISD welcomes original research articles, review papers, short communications, and technical notes that provide experimental, computational, or theoretical contributions with practical relevance and reproducibility.
