The Coconut Fiber Center in Saloloang Village has produced various products from processed coconut waste, such as cocopeat, cocofiber, and other handicrafts. However, this industry still faces challenges in the availability of clean water, which is vital for the production process. Dependence on low-quality well water forces industry players to purchase clean water in large quantities, thus increasing operational costs. To address this challenge, a low-cost and environmentally friendly coconut waste-based water treatment technology was implemented. The goal of this program is to provide a self-sufficient water treatment system that can meet the production needs of the Coconut Fiber Center. The method used in this program is Eco-Coco Filtration (ECF) technology. This technology utilizes coconut waste, such as coconut fiber, cocofiber, and activated carbon from coconut shells. The activity is carried out in several stages, including discussions regarding groundwater quality issues experienced by partners. The coconut waste-based water treatment system has been designed and installed at the partner's location as Appropriate Technology (TTG) in this activity. The Eco-coco filtration system has undergone water treatment trials, demonstrating an electrical conductivity (EC) of 534 (µS/cm), suitable for production needs. The device was designed to assist partners in meeting clean water requirements for their production processes.
