Peningkatan Kualitas Air Bersih Menggunakan Filter Air Metode Backwash di Desa Wisata Kang Bejo

Abstract

Water filters are one of the more effective water cleaning methods and are widely recognized by the people. Just like the name, its function is to filter various types of pollutants contained in water. Water filters are needed because of how much clean water is needed, especially in tourist areas. Clean water can provide many benefits, so with the application of a water filter, the problem of unusable water can be made suitable for daily activities. Water filters contain various media depending on the desired results. This Community Service is carried out in order to help with the problem of cloudy water. Previously, clean water was obtained from rainwater but was not always relied on during the dry season, so partners used groundwater which was usually always a problem due to its turbidity. The cleanliness of this water is very important because of the role of said water being used for stalls in the partner’s area. Knowing this problem, a solution can be found, namely by installing a water filter in the partner's main channel. The filter media used will better overcome water turbidity and the design is also made easy to be more efficient when given to residents. A simple design will make it easier to maintain when the water filter is under repair. Water filters use the backwash concept in cleaning the media. This concept will clean the filter media that is often used every day in a very easy way.
