Struktur Winching Point, Papan Petunjuk Parkiran dan Kampanye Kebersihan sebagai Bentuk Kegiatan Pengabdian untuk Mendukung Aktifitas Nelayan dan Wisata Pantai Seraya
Abstract
This community service project was conducted at Seraya Beach, Balikpapan, aiming to enhance the beach’s dual function as a tourism area and as a facility supporting local fishermen activities. The main technical intervention involved the design and implementation of a winching point system to assist boat hauling operations, alongside the improvement of tourist facilities. The winching point was designed using a parallel gear reduction configuration, chosen for its ease of local fabrication compared to the worm gear system, while maintaining sufficient torque and mechanical efficiency. Several anchor points were installed along the shoreline to optimize cable direction and pulling range. Additional improvements included the installation of directional signage, development of area maps, and distribution of educational flyers to promote cleanliness and order among visitors. The results indicate that an applied engineering approach, combined with community involvement, provides an effective and sustainable solution for coastal area management.
