PENERAPAN METODE HIDROPONIK DALAM PROGRAM PENDAMPINGAN BERKEBUN UNTUK GURU SEKOLAH DASAR

This community service program aims to improve teachers’ competence in managing hydroponic gardening as an educational medium and a potential driver for school-based entrepreneurship. The main issue addressed in this program is the limited utilizationof hydroponic technology as a contextual learning tool in the school environment. The mentoring activities consisted of several stages, including material delivery, greenhouse and installation setup, seedling training, nutrient preparation, plant maintenance, and harvesting. The pre- and post-program evaluation results indicated a 96% improvement in teachers’ competence, particularly in technical skills and hydroponic implementation within classroom learning. These findings demonstrate that hands-on mentoring is highly effective in developing teachers’ practical abilities and increasing their readiness to use hydroponics as a living laboratory. Theprogram is expected to bring long-term benefits and support the development of a more sustainable, independent, and entrepreneurship-oriented school culture.Downloads
