Empowerment of Women Farmers’ Groups through Small-Scale Land Management in Kampung Pati, Karang Joang Village, Balikpapan

This community service activity was carried out in RT 26 Kampung Pati, Karang Joang, North Balikpapan. The activity partner was the Pati Jaya Lestari Women Farmers Group (KWT), which has great potential in agricultural management but still faces obstacles such as limited tools, labor, and agricultural technology. The objective of this activity was to empower women's groups in optimizing the use of narrow land to increase agricultural productivity and household economy. The community service method was carried out through a participatory approach that included needs surveys, training, hands-on practice, and mentoring. The work program included the provision of organic pesticides, vegetable seedling cultivation in polybags. Evaluation results showed an increase in the knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm of KWT members in managing land independently and sustainably. In conclusion, this activity succeeded in improving the quality of agricultural land management and had a positive impact on food security and the local economy.
