Si-EXTRA (Siswa Excel Terampil dan Andal) Bagi Siswa SMAN 3 Balikpapan untuk Menyongsong Dunia Kerja

Abstract

Microsoft Excel skills are critical competencies in the digital age and the 4.0 industrial revolution. However, observations at SMAN 3 Balikpapan show that the majority of students have not mastered Excel in an applied manner in line with the needs of the wider community, such as data processing, formulas, logical functions, and visualization. This is due to the limitations of information and communication technology subjects and the lack of real-world context in the school curriculum. Therefore, this community service was carried out with the aim of improving digital literacy and student readiness for the world of work through structured Excel training with a focus on strengthening the basic features of Microsoft Excel and practical applications in the world of work with a training activity entitled Si-Extra (Skilled and Reliable Excel Students). The implementation began with coordinating with the school regarding the need to apply Microsoft Excel in the workplace, developing training modules, and evaluation instruments. The training activities were conducted offline with an interactive approach and case studies in the workplace. The evaluation of the achievement of this activity was measured by the level of student understanding before and after participating in Microsoft Excel training, the awarding of certificates, and soft copies of the training modules.
