Community-level waste management is crucial for creating a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. However, a lack of public awareness and a lack of supporting infrastructure often hinder efficient waste management. The Smart Waste program emerged as an effort to strengthen waste management through two main approaches: visual education and facility management in the neighborhood of RT 037, in collaboration with the Wanipora Waste Bank partner. The visual education was designed to raise public awareness and understanding of waste sorting, reduction, and reuse in a more engaging and accessible manner. Meanwhile, facility management focused on providing more organized waste management facilities integrated with the Waste Bank system. These activities demonstrated increased community participation in waste sorting, increased deposits to the Wanipora Waste Bank, and created a cleaner and more organized environment. Thus, this program demonstrates that the collaboration between visual education, facility management, and partner support can be an effective way to achieve sustainable community-based waste management.
