SOSIALISASI ILMU AKTUARIA UNTUK PENGURUS KOPERASI MERAH PUTIH DESA SUKO MULYO WILAYAH SEMOI KECAMATAN SEPAKU

Abstract

The Merah Putih Village Cooperative is a strategic program aimed at building the economic independence of the village through the spirit of mutual cooperation and inclusivity, serving as a pillar for driving community welfare. One of the main challenges in managing cooperatives is financial risk management, especially for the administrators who play a crucial role in the people's economic system. Actuarial science, as a discipline that studies risk management quantitatively, is still not well known in the community, particularly in Kalimantan. This community service activity aims to introduce the basic concepts of actuarial science to the administrators of the Merah Putih Suko Mulyo Village Cooperative in Sepaku District so that they can understand and anticipate financial risks in cooperative management. Through interactive socialization, short training sessions, and mentoring, this activity is expected to improve risk literacy and help members make wiser financial decisions. Based on the results of the pretest and post-test given to 15 participants, there was an increase in the average score from 62.5 to 91.25, representing a 46% improvement. These results indicate an enhanced understanding of basic actuarial science and financial risk management concepts among participants after attending the training. As a follow-up, an application was developed to facilitate management in risk management, financial record-keeping, and practical actuarial education to support the sustainability and strengthening of cooperatives.
