Abstract

The community service project in Pemulung Tumaritis Village, Graha Indah Subdistrict, North Balikpapan, aims to improve the quality of life through training in the cultivation of Medicinal Plants (TOGA) and the production of eco-bricks. This program, conducted from February to May 2025, focuses on utilizing TOGA as a solution for health and economic benefits, as well as managing plastic waste through eco-brick innovation. The TOGA training involves providing plant seeds such as ginger, turmeric, temulawak, and lemongrass, along with techniques for planting and maintaining these plants to meet traditional medicinal needs independently. This program also introduces the production of eco-bricks as a solution for plastic waste management, where plastic waste is transformed into useful items like environmentally friendly furniture and decorative elements for gardens. Through this initiative, it is expected that the community can reduce plastic waste, improve family economics, and promote a healthy, eco-friendly lifestyle. The program also provides opportunities for the community to sell TOGA and eco-bricks, supporting their economic independence. With active community participation, it is hoped that this program will continue and provide a lasting positive impact on their lives
