This article discusses a creative economy empowerment program through the use of mangroves as a natural dye for batik in the Margomulyo Mangrove area of Balikpapan City. This program aims to increase the utilization of local natural resources and enhance the technical skills of the community, particularly women in the Family Welfare Movement (PKK). The solution offered is a comprehensive approach that begins with the development of a polar solvent-based natural dye extraction tool. This tool is designed to be easy to use and efficient in extracting tannins from the fruit of the Rhizophora mucronata mangrove. Results indicate that the mangrove extract can produce a unique brownish color and has the potential to be an environmentally friendly alternative to synthetic dyes. Then, through workshops, participants were trained in using the extraction tool, fabric dyeing techniques, and the use of natural fixatives such as alum and quicklime. This activity improved community skills and knowledge, opened new business opportunities, and in the future supported ecotourism and strengthened the local creative economy sustainably.
