Pengembangan Kampung Wisata Bekantan: Strategi Fasilitas dan Promosi Menuju Destinasi Unggulan

Abstract

Kampung Wisata Bekantan, located in Graha Indah Village, North Balikpapan, has been recognized as an environment-based tourist destination with considerable development potential. However, since the pandemic period, a decline in visual quality and limited tourist support facilities have been felt, which has a direct impact on the decline in the number of tourist visits. Therefore, a revitalization program has been implemented as a form of community service through Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities. This revitalization was carried out by improving photo spots, repainting public facilities, and promoting through social media. All stages of the activity have been designed and carried out with local partners to ensure community involvement in the revitalization process. The results of this activity show an increase in the visual appeal of the area and increased community participation in managing the tourist environment. It is hoped that through this revitalization effort, the sustainability of tourist destinations can be maintained, and contributions to improving the local economy and the welfare of local residents can be achieved sustainably.
